If I wrote to you
and gave you only that
of which my heart was made
the moon and sun
whose light in shade
would bright upon this
earth and you descend
to guide me to your
steady grace and side and
I would ever ready spend
(and never hide)
the whole of my attention there
in adoration of your gentle
charms your face your hair
the simple pleasure of
your smile tracing moments
not to be repeated
but for me.
It is there that I have
ever been and where
the nexus of
our caring dwells
in my quickened breath
and swelling breast
live the whispers of forever.
